G.BOPP + Co. AG
G.BOPP + Co AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of woven wire meshes (woven wire cloths, woven steel meshes, stainless steel meshes). The high-quality metal meshes (ultrafine meshes, fine wire meshes) are used worldwide as woven wire cloths for screening and classifying, as stainless steel gauzes in screen printing, as filter cloths and laminates, and as meshes in a wide variety of applications.
As part of quality assurance, the meshes of each order are regularly photographed and inspected. In the past, this information was recorded on paper and later entered manually into the SAP system.
In order to digitalise this process, G.BOPP + Co AG commissioned 2BIT to develop an app. Using existing smartphones equipped with a barcode scanner and an external camera, the nets are photographed and transferred directly to the SAP system. There, the key figures of the photo are automatically analysed, saved and, if necessary, enriched with additional data. The user receives this information simultaneously on his smartphone, enabling efficient feedback and reaction.
